1998 FACSIMILE
The first facsimile in full colour is a unique endeavour in the history of publishing. Completed despite the domestic ban, and foreign sanctions, with just a tenth of the required funds and in another part of the world. For the first time, the faithful reproduction of a book was made without it being unbound for photographing. We have no other explanation than this edition being a miracle of God.
1897 PHOTOTYPE EDITION
The money provided by King Aleksandar I Obrenović was sufficient for printing only 40 pages in full format and full colour, so editor, Ljubomir Stojanović, had to compile a selection. Nevertheless, the book printed in Vienna was a top-class edition of the 19th century.
INVISIBLE FACSIMILE
From 1966 to this day, the Republic of Serbia has spent more than €9,000,000 on the phototype edition of the Miroslav Gospel. Numerous committees have been formed, and one still exists. The state institutions have not succeeded in producing quality photographs, nor any relevant research papers, and the money is gone.
